We’re as excited as you are about bringing your website to life! To help us provide you with exactly what you are looking for, and for us to create it in a timely manner for you, there are a few pieces of info we need. If you are not having an eCommerce website and/or not choosing to bundle SEO with your design, you may ignore those sections.
The first step is to consider how you would like your website to look. If you are unsure, thats okay, we can work together to design something, but if you have ideas on layout, colours and so on, let us know! One of the easiest ways to show us what you like is to find other websites that have elements you prefer - perhaps its the layout, or maybe the colours, or perhaps it has some feature you would like to use on your site.
All this information will really help us to understand what you are after, and to bring it to life for you! Once you have considered this, please feel free to fill in our Free Trial form with as much detail as possible, and we can begin work on a template to suit you.
Domain Name Details
Your domain name is what people will use to find your website, eg www.sitefreshwebdesign.com.au.
Do you have a current domain name? If so, great! All we will need are the login details to your domain when the site is ready to go live, and we can link the site to the domain name to show it to the world!
If you do not have a domain name yet, we would suggest purchasing your preferred one. You can choose any domain name provider you like, or purchase one from our domain name shop here >>
Pages and Content on your Website
Nobody knows more about your business than you do. In order to complete your website we need you to provide the following materials:
Your company logo if you have one (The highest quality format you have)
Your company name and all contact details you would like displayed on the site (word document format)
The names of each page you would like on your website – for example, “Home, About Us, Contact Us”
The content for each page in your site (word document format, with headings clearly marked. Any images to be included on pages can be attached to the same email)
Any "sidebar" elements you would like on your site - these are the icons and short text areas you see on either the left or right hand sides of web pages that may, for example, link to FaceBook, provide shipping information, show specials or new arrivals and so on.
eCommerce Information for Online Stores
If you will be having an eCommerce website in order to sell your products online, we will need the following information:
Your product categories (if you are separating out into categories)
Your products – an overall number of total products, plus the name, description, pricing, options (such as size, colour) and images for each product (word document format with images attached to same email OR one email per product as you may prefer)
GST requirements – will your products/services include a GST component, and if so, is it included in the price displayed on the site?
Payment methods – how will you be accepting payment from your customers? Via PayPal, bank deposit, cheque, other?
Shipping costs – how would you like to calculate shipping? Per item, per order etc, and what will your fee be?
SEO - Search Engine Optimisation
If you have chosen to have SEO applied to your website, or have selected the DIY SEO Pack, now is the time to consider the terms you would like to be found for on Google and other search engines.
Having an idea of your SEO goals during the development of your website will help us to design and develop it in the best way to enhance your SEO.
